Transitioning Florals into Fall & Winter

Hello fashion babes!  It’s that time of year where you begin to see the usual transition of clothing from Summer to Fall and this is most visible in the shift from lighter, brighter colors to warmer tones.  Especially, the dark and rich colors. Of course, that still holds true, but also trending is the addition of rose/blush colored pieces into your wardrobe along with some florals.

It is one of the hottest trends going right now along with velvet everything.  Let’s just say my new found love of velvet will have to be saved for an entire post all on its own.  In the meantime, I will stick to the topic of wearing florals in the Fall.  Here are some fun trendy ways to style a floral dress into a Fall/Winter ready outfit.

Look #1:  Add a sweater cardigan over a floral dress and some knee high boots for a warm stylish look.  Moon River dress is  no longer available, but I have linked some other adorable ones.

Look #2:   Another floral dress with knee high boots. Also, you could easily add a leather or suede moto jacket for a fun edgy look along with some sock boots for another look.

Look #3:  This adorable darker toned floral shift dress is paired with trendy sock booties and layered with a black lightweight drape front jacket.

Look #4:  Add some booties with a floral dress along with an adorable floppy hat.

Look #5:  Lastly, leave a floral dress as a stand alone in rich fall tones.  In this case, this pumpkin colored dress makes a statement on its own paired with suede block heels.

There are countless ways to layer all the florals you already have in your closet.  So, go ahead and pair your florals with either a hat, cardigan, sweater and then complete your look with either heels, booties, knee high boots, or OTK boots.  Have fun mixing and matching your layers!  You will be surprised with all the fabulous combinations you can come up with. Happy Styling!!!
