My Velvet Obsession

Velvet is back and I am so happy! Is it just me or do you get the urge to touch velvet when you see it?? I mean, seriously, velvet is one of those textures that makes me want to touch, caress, and feel it when I see it.

The velvet trend has made a tremendous comeback and I have been completely obsessed with everything velvet. You name it…I can’t get enough of velvet tops, camis, pants, jackets, dresses and shoes. I want to get my hands on everything and anything velvet.

Velvet is such a great textural piece that you can layer upon. The richness of the material/texture allows you to complement it easily. I love contrasting the fabric with either denim or leather.  Here are some stylish ways to wear this hot fall trend.

Look #1:  This gorgeous blush colored A-line dress topped with a collarless and cropped denim jacket makes it a casual fun outfit.  Add a unique statement necklace along with knee high boots and you’re ready for a fun girls day or night out.  I am not able to find the dress, but it is made by Sadie & Sage.  Linked similar dresses and OTK boots.

Look #2:  Layered this gorgeous blue color cami over a bralette detailed with lace.  This adds an elegance that is perfect for a date night or dressy occasion.

Look #3:  This green A-line dress is fun with this blush colored leather jacket.  Jacket is a faux leather blush one made by HINGE.  Not able to locate, but linked a great cream one.  Shoes are older from Anthropologie. Linked some good ones 🙂

Look #4:  Here’s a velvet colorful kimono layered over a solid cami and paired with faux leather leggings.  This look has all the luxurious colors of Fall and the different textures complements one another.  Kimono is from Hemline and made by Karlie.  Linked similar ones…

Have fun and combine textures.  Style them, try it on and you’ll be pleasantly surprised with a look you may have otherwise not even thought of putting together.
