Dash of Luxe Home Tour

Bittersweet moments are sometimes the most sentimental ones.   These are the ones where you know you have to endure bitter moments in order to have the sweet ones. I had one of those moments when we put our custom home on the market to sell. It was such an emotional thing for me. Probably because it was the first house my husband and I have designed and built together.

Before marrying him, I’ve had a traditional subdivision home built where you get to pick from a selection of floor plans then get to do the design choices to your specifications, but a custom home is a completely different experience.  Building a custom home is different in the sense that you design the home from start to finish including the floor plan. Our home that we just listed is one where we sketched our idea on a napkin, I pinned ideas on pinterest, details were carefully designed and thought through. Everything is then pulled together by an architect and executed by a custom home builder which in our case was my husband.  Every detail was deliberate and so much thought was put into making this home uniquely ours and we called it “home” for over four years.

Being married to a builder…I should know better than to get attached. I knew when I married my husband his plan was to continue to flip as many of our personal homes as possible. Frankly, he feels we were in this one, two years too long. On the bright side, I get to keep designing new homes that fit our family and lifestyle; not to mention, I get to keep up with the newest home designs and trends.

Before the house sells, here is a quick tour of our home room by room pictured below:

Well, that’s our home.  Thank you for visiting and taking a mini-tour. It’s on the market and waiting for the right buyer to come along. Many special memories have been made here and I know the right family will come along and make it their home. I know they will love it as much as we did and still do.
