T R A V E L ~ If you are looking for a little slice of heaven then The Sanctuary at Camelback Resort in Scottsdale is where you will find it. One word describes it best, LUXURIOUS!

Praying Monk
As someone who travels for work often, I do have the opportunity to stay and dine at some great places here in the good ole USA. My work travels brings me to Arizona often and I have stayed at many of the different hotels around the area, but my all time favorite is The Sanctuary.
The resort is quite acclaimed. Named Best of Arizona Hotels by US News and also Top Resorts in the Southwest by Condé Nast Traveller Readers Choice Awards 2018. The property is pristine, relaxing and just beautiful. The landscaping and vegetation has been designed to attract butterflies and birds. At night the skies are lit with bright galactic stars and you awaken to a breathtaking sunrise to the east and end the day with a stunning sunset to the west.
The resort is close proximity to Camelback Mountain, so if you are up for a hike to see the most gorgeous views of the valley then you are in for a real treat. Whether you are active or want to relax, there is something for you. Being located in Paradise Valley (a name so fitting of this property), you can easily enjoy the many golf courses nearby, indulge at the spa or just relax by the pool.

Gorgeous and scenic view as you enjoy the pool…
The spa has been newly remodeled and is absolutely amazing. I highly recommend treating yourself to a nice massage. It is very zen-like. So, go ahead and relax, unwind and enjoy!
Now, moving on to the actual accommodations. The interior design, in my opinion has a rustic, luxurious, elegance with a Southwest flare. It truly is a retreat that easily is perfect for an individual, couple, family and even a girls or guys weekend. There are spacious casitas, suites, and exclusive villas available. I have been blessed to experience the suites and one of the villas. Below are pics of my gorgeous suite.

Here are some pictures of the gorgeous villa I shared with a few girlfriends. We had an entire four bedroom villa complete with a kitchen along with a private pool all to ourselves. The villa even had an exercise room. It was beyond amazing.

Whether you are able to stay on the property or not, I highly recommend coming for a spa day, grabbing drinks at Jade Bar or enjoying a nice dinner at Elements. The Jade Bar has a nice outdoor patio for mingling and the inside layout is curved so that you can take in the breathtaking views of the mountains from any angle. There truly is not a bad seat and that goes the same for Elements. The restaurant is under the culinary direction of Executive Chef Beau MacMillan. If you are a Food Network enthusiast like me then the name may ring a bell. Chef MacMillan is an award winning star who beat out an Iron Chef. Pretty impressive and the deliciousness of the food is evidence of his culinary expertise.

The resort is beyond five stars in my opinion. I would easily give it a ten and the cost to stay here definitely is worth every penny. Although a stay here can be costly during peak season, the perfect time to take advantage of rates that are more affordable is during Arizona’s hot summer months…that is known for their low-season. Even with the heat, just being able to relax by the pool will have you easily forgetting that the temps are so high. It honestly reminds me and feels kind of like Cabo. I always say, just give me a pool, some adult beverages, good service, and I am a happy girl.
