My Christmas in July has arrived. In regards to sales that take place, this one to me…is the sale of all sales. It’s the annual #NordstromAnniversarySale and quite frankly this sale gets me all kind of excited and giddy.
For those of you who are new to this sale, you are probably wondering what makes this sale so fabulous? Or what the hype about? Those of you who have shopped the sale, you know exactly what the craze is all about. It is Nordstrom’s way of unveiling the latest Fall trends in the Summer for all their shoppers at a discount. There is a special treat for cardholders and if you are one, you get “Early Access”. Early access entitles you the luxury to shop both in stores and on line one entire week before the sale opens to the public. It’s a sneak peek to get your hands on the latest Fall trends before they sell out. These items move fast and when I say fast, the minute you put an item into your shopping cart – there is no guarantee that it will still be available by the time you check out. I, sadly had a few items that sold out before I could check out. 🙁
The good news is, if at first you don’t succeed at getting what you want…keep checking back. They tend to reorder their top sellers and will restock later. The other piece of advice is for early access shoppers, if you don’t get what you want the first week – set your clock because it will be restocked on Friday, July 20th, the day it opens up to the public. I always set my alarm for any items I missed out on and have my fingers crossed for a couple of more items.
Enough about the sale and let’s get to my favorites. I have narrowed down my top picks and wish I could afford to get them all. Of course, like everyone else…I have a budget and you will have to check out my Instagram feed to see the items I did purchase and how I styled them. I mainly like to stick to some basics that I can interchange and wear over and over again.

Well, that’s a wrap. Although I wish I could afford all my picks, I had to prioritize and get the things I felt I must have. I try and shop smart by selecting the pieces I feel I can get the most wear out of. My purchases from last year’s sale are still going strong in my daily looks.
