NYE Outfit

I love playing dress up!  Isn’t it so much fun to get all dolled up?!?  I seriously enjoy dressing up for New Year’s Eve.  We always have so much fun ringing in the New Year with friends.  For the past three years, we have hosted a party at our house and I would be very busy the week after Christmas getting the house ready for the party.  Let’s be real…I confess, I would actually be going a little crazy.  I would be planning out the food, getting the house decorated for the party, and running around like a mad woman.  However, this year I am more excited to say that I will NOT be hosting a party.

We have had so much going on this year that we decided that it would be our first year not to host.  I was not ready to be stressed out in getting all my Christmas décor down and getting the house transitioned for a NYE party.  So, this week between has been less stressful for me and it has been much more laid back.  We are excited to be ringing in the New Year with friends that have a party every year and in years past we could never go because ours always conflicted with theirs.

In searching for the right outfit, I am excited that I found a glitzy skirt at Nordstrom.  I feel like I can always count on Nordstrom to find an outfit for any occasion and definitely was not disappointed when I stumbled upon this skirt.  The skirt was a great foundation piece for me to build my outfit on.  I am a big fan of mixing bold colors that maybe some people wouldn’t consider.  Bold classic colors such as brown and black or blue and black.  I am that gal.  Here’s the look I styled and I did so combining blue and black basics from Target.

I feel the outfit is just the right amount of glamour and glitz while also being warm and cozy for the cool temps that are expected.  Wishing everyone a fabulous New Year!
